Learn Easy Ways to Improve Your Edges

Are you feeling on edge about your selvedges? Do you wonder how to make them cleaner and better-looking without needing to fiddle around after every pick? You are not alone—in fact, all weavers worry about their selvedges. We’re here to arm you with the knowledge and expert advice you need to make your edges look better than ever.

In this course, weaver, teacher, and shop owner Sara Bixler shares her best selvedge-weaving tips. As you watch, you’ll learn:

  • When and how to use a floating selvedge
  • Ways to adjust sett for more uniform edges
  • About tools and equipment that are helpful for selvedge management
  • What to do at the loom to help your selvedges

To begin, Sara uses samples to show common selvedge issues and offers suggestions for adjusting your approach. Then, join Sara at the loom as she discusses and demonstrates a range of tips, including weft management to get a better turn at the edges, weaving with floating selvedges, using a temple, and more. By the end, you’ll walk away with great ideas and techniques to try in your own weaving.

Sit back and let expert weaver and teacher Sara Bixler teach you her proven methods for weaving better selvedges—so you can weave more and worry less.
